Experimenting

Yes this card was my first attempt at colouring on kraft. At first I wasn't really sure about it and debated giving it to the friend I had made it for. I kept looking at it though and after a while the effect grew on me. I found shading much more difficult as the colours soak into the kraft and I didn't achieve the level of shading I like but I like to try something different but not sure I would make another.
Image - LOTV
Medium - Copics
Papers - Craftwork Cards Time Flies
Dies - Tim Holtz star clusterwith sanded Core'dinations, Cheery Lynn faerie mushrooms which I cut out of DCWV gauze paper, another experiment but I am really happy with this one
Other - stickles

Sorry if I haven't visited but we have been away since Saturday. We went to a concert in Ipswich Saturday night and stayed in a Premier Inn. On Sunday we headed off to Bourton on the Water in the Cotswolds for 3 nights. I have scheduled posts for while I have been away as well as this one and hopefully I have managed to do some commenting whilst we have been away.

Hun, don't worry, you have done a cracking job with this! You are right about how the kraft neutralises colour, it is quite disconcerting I find. Hugs xx

I think it's a super job Marianne - it has a vintage quality that could lend itself to other images in a truly magical way.

Hello Marianne, just catching up here. My favourite new fairy and I think she looks good coloured on kraft, would pencils give you the shading you like, just a thought.

Your note holders are gorgeous, love how you've done these and the plaques are so pretty, especially the wedding one, all fabulous work, hugs Kate x
