I made this for a friend's Birthday and can now share it with you. I think this is a great image from Stamposaurus and I tried something new, stamping with white ink on red rather than kraft or black as I have done before. The papers are Carta Bella Well Travelled and I used a couple of star punches with my crimper, a leather strip, baker's twine and a motorbike charm.

Peg plaque

It's another anything goes with ribbon challenge at Crafty Ribbons. Here's something a little different I tried for a change for my DT inspiration. I like using these chipboard album pages to make plaques and I covered this one with Craftwork Cards chalkboard papers which are luscious. I added some ribbon from Crafty Ribbons and attached some pegs to which I had added washi tape. I then attached some wooden embellishments on the pegs. And there you have a useful and decorative plaque.

On our way home

We have been away for the past week in Yorkshire so my posts had all been scheduled. We had a wonderful time and I have been able to do some commenting but not had time for as much as usual so I will catch up with you all as soon as I can.

We stayed in a lovely cottage in Scalby which is a very nice area 3 miles from Scarborough. I took my Copics and some images to colour as we came back to the cottage for the evenings. I coloured 14 images which I am looking forward to making into cards.

We took a trip across to the LOTV shop where I made a small purchase, not too much as there are some gorgeous new stamps coming out soon which I need and which you are going to love too. Sneak peeks coming soon.

And what a thrill to see some of my cards on display. You may recognise these, mine is the bottom left one with the watering can.

See you tomorrow with my Pink Gem DT card. Thanks for all the lovely comments you have left me whilst I have been away.

Eye Eye

You may be wondering what on earth this card is all about. Well my hubby recently had eye surgery and he asked me to make a thank you card for the surgeon. He has had high eye pressures for several years and controlled them with nightly eye drops. Recently they had risen again and he had the beginning of cataracts. There were several options but we decided to pay to have the cataracts removed and some super duper new lenses fitted which means he no longer needs glasses for anything. we have to wait a while to see if the pressures have gone down as the healing drops after surgery can increases the pressures.

So back to my card. I remembered i had a set of Tim Holts stamps which were perfect for this card. I found a thank you stamp and gave it all a distressed look using my favourite Distress Ink Vintage Photo. I bought the wooden glasses from Hobbycraft recently so they fitted in too. As for the car which was made with a Marianne classic car die, well the surgeon has a green classic Morgan. He loved the card and was very impressed with the individual design.

Back later today with some photos to share with you.

This is my second inspiration card for July for LOTV. Aren't these colours glorious. Autumn is my favourite season. Whilst I enjoy the sun I can't stand it too hot so a lovely Autumn day is much more my style and I love the Autumnal colours. This is another of the LOTV landscape pictures, this one is from the Autumn Glory pad. I have teamed it with LOTV Country Lady papers and one of the lovely new wavy sentiments.

Last night we had a great night out with friends. Meal at Cafe Rouge and then we saw The Jersey Boys at the theatre. It was fantastic and the guy who played Frankie Valli was superb. Loved it. So now onto my card. Have you seen the great value pack of penguins over at Pink Gem. You can find them here. There are 8 printable toppers for just £4! You can use them just as a topper or use some of the decoupage as I have done here. The sentiment is also part of the kit. I added some Stickles to their hats. Jodie in Wonderland

Thanks so much for your lovely comments on yesterday's card. For those who love the sentiment I can tell you it comes with that cute stamp. Sorry I didn't have much time for commenting yesterday as my iPad was low on charge in the morning and then we were out most of the day and out again in the evening. We went to Pizza Express and then to the theatre to see Michael McIntyre.

Happy 4th of July and our challenge this fortnight at A Gem of a Challenge is red, white and blue. I love this colour combo especially for Christmas but I decided to make a lovely Summery card instead as I have been longing to use this cute new image.
